Follow along as Magic Sword (the cloaked Immortals known as The Seer, The Weaver, and The Keeper) adventure their way through this Dungeons & Dragons live play event. The Immortals will be joined by Shay Plummer (illustrator/author of the Magic Sword comics), Mo Mitchell (local comedian and storyteller), Brian Pitre (comedian/visual artist and co-producer for RocketShip Comedy), and Dungeon Master Nate Utesch (aka Metavari).

Dressed for Fantasy II: Badlands is tailored to immerse the audience in a fantastical world of light and sound inspired by music from from the Indianapolis-based record label, Joyful Noise Recordings. We’ll pick up where Dressed for Fantasy: Part 1 left off—The Elemental Fear is temporarily recoiled, but The Immortals’ odyssey home has been interrupted. They have found themselves in a world laid to waste. Severed from the Magic Sword. Willing audience members will be assigned roles and participate in the outcome of the story by roleplaying NPCs, delivering magic items, revealing secrets, and helping our players in real time.

The Table
MAGIC SWORD
as The Immortals
In the beginning there was light and darkness. A creation of a perfect balance. As time passed, evil spread over the land like a plague, slowly consuming everything in its path.
In the final moments before light was lost to shadow for all time, a weapon of infinite power was created. Thus restoring balance to the universe.
And so it was, it shall always be: whenever the need is great, we call upon the power of the magic sword.
These are the Immortals bound to the Magic Sword. Their influence washes over all realities, cleansing some, and crushing others. Their existence is bound to the Sword. It is their link to immortality...and their curse.
SHAY PLUMMER
as The Harbinger
Shay Plummer is a college trained and battle tested illustrator who resides in the Northwestern US. As the art director and lead illustrator for the ongoing story & soundtrack project Magic Sword, Shay continues to use that experience to weave together worlds, creatures and characters in all manner of weird works. Including his own unending stream of imagery, comics, projects, and games.
Shay’s work as a contributing artist has been featured in many publications over the years, some of which are: DC, Marvel, Dark Horse, and Image comics; Wired and Field and Stream magazines; as well as the AMC cable channel.
MO MITCHELL
as The Mortal Seer
Mo Mitchell started her stand up comedy journey fresh out of high school at the tender age of 18. She’s a 3 time member of the illustrious Blooming10 in the Limestone Comedy Festival, a regular performer at the world renown Comedy Attic, and has only cried on stage once in four years. She needs this more than you do.

as The Mortal Weaver
Comedian, musician, chef, gardener, photographer, and all-around renaissance man, Brian Pitre has been a stand up comedian for 8 years, and is the founder of Lake Charles Comedy, a comedy project based in his hometown of Lake Charles, Louisiana.
Brian’s observational humor, affinity for obscure human habits, and deadPan delivery make for quite a hilarious combination.
After moving to Indianapolis in 2021, Brian is now the co-producer for RocketShip Comedy in Indy, and runs The Dog Show, a comedy show benefiting The Indy Humane Society with local comedian Tyson Cox. Brian is also creator/producer of Smokers & Jokers, the area’s only cigar lounge comedy show.
